Today’s Trend Report will focus on this Season’s most important fashion accents… “Tassels”

While we may associate tassels with furniture trimmings and graduation caps, these slinky ornaments are swiftly becoming the “IT” piece to add to your wardrobe this Summer. Top designers like Gucci, Sonia Rykiel and Louis Vuitton have added these flirty, decorative embellishments to their S/S 2011 collection with Trendsetters like Blake Lively, Giovanna Battaglia and Gwyneth Paltrow bringing a playful energy to their wardrobe basics. What’s not to love about this new trend? Not only are tassels incredibly versatile, they can be worn as earrings, dangle from your favorite handbag or add spice by lacing up your shoes. And what’s even more exciting to us fashion lovers is that you can find them in array of exciting colors from neon hues to warm neutral tones making it easy to incorporate this trend into your everyday style. One thing I like most about this trend is that a little goes a long way! Even the smallest tassel on your shoes is usually what’s needed to give your look a visually intriguing finish. Another way to incorporate tassels into your look is with fun jewelry. Whether they are dangling from a necklace or hanging from your ears, a simple pop of color is eye catching making it a clear focal point on any outfit. Also Look out for neat belts with tassels to give your spring basics an updated look.
