Canned food is something that is very much a detriment to your health and not just because the food is basically nutritionless due to the high temperatures and pressures required during processing.
Possibly the most worrisome problem of all is that almost all brands of canned food, except for a very few organic ones, contain the endocrine disruptor bisphenol A, better known as BPA in the can lining. BPA is a byproduct of the chemicals used to prevent can corrosion.
Why is BPA such a HUGE, HUGE problem, particularly for our children?
Because it causes massive hormone disruption with the serious problem of early puberty, ADHD, obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and the list goes on and on and on.
Think this problem is overblown? Consider this.
Currently, as many as 10 in 100 white girls, 15 in 100 Hispanic girls, and 25 in 100 African American girls are experiencing breast development as early as 7 years old! The earlier a girl goes into puberty, the higher her chances of breast cancer later in life.
You don’t have to be an “artist” to be creative. Your
creativity is merely an extension of your individuality. Being creative
can help you with anything from coming up with new styles to rock or
aiding your ability to conceive new ideas. Regardless of your path, you
can find value and inspiration in these 29 ways to stay creative. Have
an innovative day!! Essentially Essence.
Check out this one-of-a-kind speaker design. Made in ceramic with a form designed to boost and optimize the best sound output. To decrease the vibration and to optimize the emission of sound, the amplifier is based on a thin wooden structure that allows the object to float off the table. Designed for the all iPhones (and iPod Touch with a special case) it is ideal for listening music without headphones or for audio-conference to hear the person as if he were talking in the same room.
Check out these brands as they continue to inspire aspiring artist and fashion lovers.
Your choices have created your present circumstances
like a paintbrush creates an artwork. Think of each decision a brush
stroke and life as the canvas. You determine the results. Consequences
do not have to be negative. The universal paradox is that if you choose
wisely, your days will be a beautiful reflection of those choices.

Battle of the Canvas took place Sunday at the Trust Building in Old City , Philadelphia. The event comprised of various artist in Philadelphia. Many of the artist specialized in various forms of art although the focus was on the canvas. I had the opportunity to attend this fantastic event and meet some cool people. Check out some photos after the break.
I had the pleasure to photograph some of music’s talented artist as Spectrum organized another fantastic event during University of Pennsylvania’s homecoming. Students assembled at the Irvine Auditorium to watch some of the most talented artist display a great show. Artist included Philadelphia’s own Meek Mill , Los Angeles Kendrick Lamar and Brooklyn’s Theophilus London. Each artist engaged the crowd with their significant approach to music. The students certainly enjoyed the show as they took a break from their scholastic responsibilities.

“Falling Whistles is a campaign for Peace in Congo. Three years ago we learned of boys too small to carry a gun being sent to the frontlines of war armed with only a whistle. Today the whistle is our symbol of protest and we are building a global coalition for Peace in Congo. Together, we partner with local Congolese visionaries to rehabilitate war affected women & children and to advocate for peace inside our world’s deadliest conflict.
November 8th we reinvent the petition with the The Face Campaign. Instead of your signature we are asking for your face. Visit www.fallingwhistles.com/face or download the IPhone app. Take your photo and it will be overlayed with the words ‘I Want Peace in Congo’. Press send and your photo will be automatically faxed to the White House.
Be A Whistleblower for Peace”
Floyd Mayweather Jr. does not plan on taking another 16-month vacation from the boxing ring, like he did after easily outpointing Shane Mosley in May 2010.
Instead, Mayweather, who knocked out Victor Ortiz on Sept. 17, will make a relatively hasty return: May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, adviser Leonard Ellerbe told ESPN.com on Wednesday night.
Mayweather’s opponent has not been determined but Ellerbe said, “We’re looking to make the biggest fight possible and everyone knows what that fight is, the little fella.”
Ellerbe was, of course, referring to Manny Pacquiao. The welterweight champions and the top two pound-for-pound fighters in the world have been on a collision course for years. However, negotiations have fallen apart over drug testing protocol.
Pacquiao is set to fight Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time Nov. 12 at the MGM Grand and is a heavy favorite.
