DAILY ESSENTIALS – NO ONE STEP IS TOO HARD – A ONE WEEK CHALLENGE
“In a race, there is one
step between winning and losing. In life there’s one step between
accomplishing goals and falling short.”
Accomplishing goals doesn’t have to be difficult. Think about it in a
step-by-step process. You put one foot in front of the other and that
simple move propels you forward. The same thing goes for your goals.
Break the goal down into smaller tasks and before you know it, you’re
closer to accomplishing that goal. Of course, looking at the big
picture can be daunting. But, one step isn’t difficult. Get one thing
done today and another tomorrow.
Let’s make this week a challenge! Break your goal down into smaller
steps. Then, each day this week accomplish ONE step.
*HEALTH* LOSE WEIGHT DAILY
Understanding and working with your body’s natural hunger and sleep rhythms will vanquish cravings, increase energy, and help you lose more weight.
It’s not just what you eat or how much you exercise that matters; it’s the timing of each component that is the true secret to weight loss success. Research shows that our bodies’ inner eat-and-sleep clocks have been thrown completely out of whack, thanks to all-day food cues and too much nighttime artificial light. The result: You’re caught in a “fat cycle”: a constant flow of hunger hormones that makes you prone to cravings. By tuning in to your body’s natural eat/sleep schedule, you can finally say good-bye to your belly.
Drop Around The Clock! Follow this hour-by-hour slim-down schedule to control hunger hormones, banish cravings, and get trim and toned–fast!

*HEALTH* DIET MIGHT HAVE SOME EFFECT ON ADHD
There’s limited evidence that any particular diet or supplement helps kids with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but at least some research suggests that omega-3 fatty acids may help while fatty “Western-style” diets do these children no favors.
Researchers from Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago reviewed previous studies on diets and supplements that have been tried in children with ADHD. Among the diets tested: restricting sugar, which some parents believe worsens hyperactivity; avoiding food containing additives and preservatives, known as the “Feingold diet”; an “elimination diet” that avoids foods most often implicated in food allergies; and supplementing with omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish oil capsules.
Little research supports the idea that sugar or artificial sweeteners affect children’s behavior, according to the review. Nor is there much evidence from controlled trials to support the Feingold diet, which first became popular in the 1970s and advocates avoiding food that contains red and orange dyes and preservatives (including apples, grapes and lunch meats).

*HEALTH* COTTON SWABS BAD , A LITTLE EAR WAX GOOD
|
We know, it feels so good to get in there! But cotton swabs are meant for use on the outside of your ear, not the inside. Sticking one in too far can push wax deeper inside the ear canal, possibly damaging the eardrum. And a little wax is actually healthy – it helps protect your sensitive ear canal. If your ears are feeling really clogged up, see your doctor, who can suggest ear drops to use at home, or safely remove blockage for you. - Health News - |
